Who are able to perform the art of leadership coaching? It was a question which a good friend of mine suddenly tossed at me when I was explaining to him the key reason why some managers are extremely good at managing their personnel. And with no 2nd thoughts I was ready to give him my answer.

The answer was fairly simple, it was “everybody”. Indeed, everyone or anybody is capable of doing her or his own way of leadership coaching. Nonetheless, there is a catch; to do it isn’t that easy. Becoming a leadership coach is not as simple as 1 + 1 = 2. By definition a leadership coach is somebody that coaches leaders or managers in promoting growth in all areas and corners of their career. Generally, a coach is going to be specializing in specific areas of leadership which will depend on their very own personal educational background and expertise. Descision makers or executives will gain from the outside and impartial viewpoint that a leadership coach can bring to their career and more especially, to their business style.
